In this Universe, numbers matter. Numbers carry far more meaning that what we were taught in school. Search the term Numerology online and you will find countless articles describing the significance and meaning of any just about any number. The Tibetans, the Kabbalists, the Egyptians, and the Mayans all have ways of interpreting the language of numbers.
So what is so special about December 12th? In the western world, our addiction to consumerism and materialist holidays usually has us so preoccupied that most typically miss the subtle energy flowing at this time. The days have been growing shorter since the Autumnal Equinox on September 22nd, with the sun guiding us to bed earlier, and encouraging us to sleep in just a bit more. However, in our modern era, with artificial lighting, caffeine, and 24/7 entertainment, we find ourselves disconnected with the natural rhythms of Sun and Earth. Add in non-stop social pressure to buy presents, eat excessively, and party in the new year, and it's no wonder most don't understand the significance of this time of year.
Think of 12/12 as the beginning of an algorithm; a sequence of codes that shifts the energy of our waking dream, this Earth simulation, leading up to the Winter Solstice on 12/21. At this time we are gifted with some extremely potent codes that can help us as we transition into winter time. Below are a few explanations of the power of this time period, including some ways that you can honor this window and make the most out of this energy.
The Power of the Number 12
Did you know that there is a counting system that is based on the number 12 instead of 10? It's called the duodecimal system, and it is actually has many practical advantages. Without getting to deep into the weeds, let's just look at where the 12 shows up:
The 12 sided platonic solid, the dodecahedron, was equated with the 5th element known as Ether, or life force energy.
There are 12 signs in the Zodiac
There are 12 months in a year.
We have 12 Inches in a Foot.
The clock face is divided into 12 hours.
The Bible speaks of the 12 sons of Jacob, or the 12 tribes of Israel.
The Number 12 in the Mayan Sacred Calendar is the penultimate number, the power of all life's experience aggregated just before returning to Source (13)
In the Dreamspell Neo-Mayan Calendar, the 12 represents the Crystal. It is described as complex stability, seen as a number of power and balance.
I relate the number to the awakening of the Christ energy within.
The Call of the 144
I see the number 144 every day. Multiple times per day. So what's the deal here?
December 12th can be written as 12/12. 1212 is the number of the awakening of the Crystalline Self. 11:11 shows up for many of us as an activation code, one to help us to recognize that we are living in a waking dream.
Waking up is great...but it's just the first step. The next step is to start recoding yourself, removing and rewriting your limiting belief structures, your unconscious patterns, and self-sabotaging behaviors.
The 12:12 code guides us to do just that, and the December 12th through the 21st gives us a perfect window of time to wake up to our true soul mission.
So what is your mission? Well let's examine the code of the 144.
December 12th = 12/12.
12 x 12 = 144.
This number shows up in the story of the Bible. The Book of Revelations, the book that is thought to predict the end of the Earth, speaks of the 144,000 as such:
"And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel."
Remember that the Bible is allegorical, it is metaphorical. Revelations may speak of the end of the world, but in life, the ending of one thing is always the beginning of another. Remember when the Mayan Calendar 'ended' in 2012. We are still here right?
We are the 144,000. You can call us the Chosen Ones, the Warriors of Light, the Light Workers...we have many names. Delores Cannon writes about the Volunteers, a group of souls who chose to come here in the 11th hour to help avoid the total destruction of Humanity.

The Winter Solstice - Death & Rebirth
The 21st of December marks the closing of this window, where the 144 code is reawakened within us. The 11/11 code comes to us in Scorpio season, the time of transformation and death. It reminds us that when we wake up, it means the death of who we thought we were. It requires feeling your emotions and releasing your attachment to your old identity.
The 12/12 season invites us to integrate the healing of Scorpio season with a bit of movement and activity just before we reach the depths of winter. Sagittarius leads this season with expansion and growth, so it is the perfect time to take the first steps toward living the life you desire.
Oh and bonus, Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, whose sign looks like the number 24, which of course is 12+12 🤔.
It is wise for us to honor the wisdom of the season, to slow down, to go inward, and to integrate the lessons of the year (and hasn't 2022 been a wild one?).
